Magic Sandwich: What was the best Halloween costume you ever wore?
Undoubtedly thinking of Alan Alda. Photo by Greg Moore.
Liani Moore: I was Andrew Ridgeley from WHAM! once. Kind of a last minute thing... some gym shorts, and a cut off shirt that said, "CHOOSE LIFE" in permanent pen. Everyone knew who I was, let me tell you...they were like, "Hey, you're Andrew Ridgeley from, WHAM!, aren't you?!" And I was like, "Yeah!"
MS: Pretend you're an on-the-scene reporter, write some text on a subject that isn't really newsworthy but make it sound really important.
LM: This one is hard. But ok. “The Albertson’s on 23rd and F was recently shut down due to lack of something. Unfortunately, the Bank of America ATM was removed as well. This is going to have a devastating impact on Liani Moore, a local resident, who is now going to have to skateboard her ass to the Alhambra branch to deposit her bi-monthly paychecks of $12.00 after taxes. This is really important. I’m so serious. And if you don’t care, there’s probably something wrong with you.”
MS: What's the worst thing someone could say about your music?
LM: That they don’t get it, or they can’t relate to it.
MS: What thing or place would you like to have named after you or in your honor?
LM: I would like Sacramento to me re-named after me. I’ve already begun to lobby for it… Lianimento… kind of has a ring to it, doesn’t it?
MS: What is one thing you wish you would never have to do again?
LM: Work in an office. Either that, or take English 110A – Intro to Literary Criticism. That class made me want to throw up.
MS: Who is the best-looking famous person over 70?
LM: Alan Alda. He’s a sexy bitch.
MS: What's the greatest thing about the DMV?
LM: Well, there are many things that I love about the DMV. I'm going to go with getting dates. I like to get dates at the DMV. So next time you run into me there...
MS: Who/What is your favorite Shakespeare play or character?
LM: Hm. I would have to say Othello… but mostly because I’m partial to the Verdi opera. Those romantic composers did some incredible adaptations of great literary works. Desdemona’s death aria is priceless.

MS: Describe the last dare you took.
LM: Uh…it involved me shaking my ass all the way down a particular street in midtown wearing only high heels and underwear. My underwear, someone else’s high heels.
MS: I'll give you the answer, you give me the applicable question: Alan Alda
LM: Who is the best-looking person over 70?
